Gas mileage improvements won’t lower the cost of gasoline, but it can have a similar effect - paying less money for gas!
There are many simple things you can to to improve your gas mileage, many of them common sense. For instance, insuring your car is driving as efficiently as possible.
Among many ways to make your car or truck more efficient is to have your tires properly inflated (low tire pressure causes extra drag), and having your engine tuned-up (checking engine timing and replacing worn or dirty spark plugs).
You can also see gas mileage improvements simply by cleaning out your backseat and trunk: every 50 lbs you remove from your car results in approximately 1% increased mileage.
Combing trips is another easy way to improve your gas mileage. It obviously takes less gas to go from home to the market, to the dry cleaners, and home again, then to make separate trips for each.
